Changelog

Fix
Share links follow a migrated designer to its upgraded viewer
- Old share links now just work. Opening a saved design lands you on its designer's current viewer, even once that designer has been upgraded to a newer version, with no dead page in between.
- A legacy designer link can also redirect straight to its upgraded viewer. That redirect is configured per account, so existing embeds and partner pages keep working on the old link without any changes on their side.
Feature
Request-a-quote tab for dealer-routed leads
- Dealer-routed configurators get a new tab. Some configurators route each lead to the manufacturer's own quote form, and those now show a labelled tab and button to find a dealer and request a quote, replacing an unlabelled icon.
- The matching bottom-bar button adapts too. On narrow or embedded screens it steps aside, and a small partner widget still shows the enquiry tab even where the labelled button has no room to fit.
Fix
Table leg placement corrected on four-corner tops
- Four-corner table legs (used on rectangular and square tabletops) now place each leg at its true corner position, including on tops with sharp, non-rounded corners.
Fix
Account archiving and the 3D request form
- Archiving an account now actually takes its configurator offline, instead of leaving it reachable.
- The "Get your products in 3D" request form on the homepage now reliably reaches us.
Feature
New accounts get a quick look before going live
- Signing up now starts by telling us your website and work email. We take a quick look at the site, usually within one working day, then email you a setup link.
- Your setup link opens straight into the same signup steps as before: website scan, photo picker, widget code.
- If you already had a live configurator before this change, nothing is different for you.
Fix
Billing, security and reliability fixes
- Dealers on an unlimited-credit plan are no longer incorrectly shown an "out of credits" message.
- Closed a data-isolation issue in lead and analytics queries that could let one account's records be reached through another account's request.
- A maintenance job that could remove an in-use scene backdrop image is now gated so it cannot touch live images.
- Our bot-protection check (Turnstile) no longer misfires on an out-of-date configuration.
- The onboarding setup link now points at the correct account on first use.
Feature
Integrations section on the homepage
- Added a section to the homepage describing CPQ3D integrations, available in English, Dutch, French and German.
Fix
Clearer homepage call to action
- The homepage now leads with a single clear call to action; the 3D walkthrough is a secondary link and the steps involved are available on request, in all four languages.
Fix
AI render consistency and configurator editing
- "Render with AI" now produces consistent results if you run it again on the same design.
- Photo mode now shows the colour you actually picked, instead of occasionally drifting.
- Edit markers in the 3D view now stay hidden behind the structure they sit on, instead of floating in front of it.
- Roof-window placement can now also be adjusted from the side panel, not only by dragging in the 3D view.
Fix
Accessibility fix and photo-mode defaults
- Fixed accessibility issues on the pricing page.
- Photo mode's built-in help is now available on every designer.
- Designers built on our newest engine now open in 3D view by default, instead of on a static example photo.
Feature
Visual-quality upgrade to the 3D scene
- The 3D scene's lighting, garden backdrops and glass rendering received a broad visual upgrade (new dusk/blue-hour lighting, backdrop surfaces, more realistic glass), shared by every designer built on our newest engine.
- Fixed: a tenant link with /de/ in the address now shows German, as intended.
Fix
Smoother resizing, correct daylight, translated panels
- Roof windows now snap back onto the roof structure after a resize, instead of hanging where the old rafters used to be.
- Resizing to fewer bays now keeps the window and wall fillings that still fit, instead of dropping your side choices.
- Coming back to 3D from photo mode now restores proper daylight. The 3D scene no longer kept the photo's lighting, which could make it look like night.
- The configurator panels (colours, sun, sides, size), toolbar tooltips and screen-reader labels now follow your customer's language instead of falling back to English.
Docs
Help manual reviewed and refreshed
- Every help page was checked against the current platform and brought up to date.
- The Allowed websites section now explains how the "www." prefix is handled.
Fix
"See in 3D" buttons now work on www addresses
- If visitors reach your site via www.yourdomain.com while your allowed list has yourdomain.com (or the reverse), the buttons now appear. Before, the address had to match exactly and the buttons could silently stay hidden.
Feature
See the design in the real world
- New: "View in your room" lets a customer scan a QR code and see the product life-size in 3D, right where they're standing, through their phone camera. Works on both iPhone and Android.
- New: place the 3D model onto a photo of a real space (your showroom, a customer's garden) and drag and scale it so it sits naturally on the spot.
- New: when a photo has clutter like parasols or garden furniture, CPQ3D cleans the background automatically so the model composites cleanly.
- The configurator now has a clear 3D / Photo / AR toggle.
Feature
Full keyboard control and accessibility
- The configurator is now fully usable with the keyboard (arrow keys to rotate, resize, and nudge) and works with screen readers, meeting WCAG accessibility standards.
Fix
More reliable buttons and smarter follow-up
- "See in 3D" buttons are more reliable on complex websites. They now match your product photos by filename, so other scripts that rearrange images won't stop the buttons from appearing.
- Quote requests now show the customer's preferred contact time ("Best time: afternoon") when they share it, so you know when to call.
Feature
Safer, more flexible embed code
- Your embed code is now personalized to you: instead of a generic snippet you get your own /widget/yourcode.js. It only activates on the websites you've approved and only on the photos you marked, so it's safe to add across your whole site.
- You can now allow the configurator on a specific section of a website (for example example.com/shop), not just a whole domain.
- Older embed codes keep working, so there's nothing to change if you're already set up.
Feature
A richer experience for your customers
- New: starter designs you curate. Set up a small library of ready-made designs that customers pick from the moment the configurator opens, branded to you.
- New: realistic colour samples. Colours now show with true lighting and texture, like a physical fan deck, instead of flat chips.
- New: customers can save their design, leave their details, and request a call as separate gentle steps, at their own pace. Saved designs land in your dashboard with their contact info.
- Saved designs and share links now open in the new, faster 3D configurator, and share links are much shorter.
Feature
Pipeline and signals upgrades
- New: engagement health on your pipeline. Each dealer shows as New, Active, Stuck, or Dormant, with the date of the last email and a one-click button to re-send a follow-up.
- New: filter your pipeline by date range to compare periods.
- New: websites typed into cpq3d.com ("URL interest signals") are grouped by domain, with follow-up and dismiss actions.
- New: automatic milestone emails keep you posted: first configurator use, first quote request, momentum at 5 requests, plus go-live check-ins and low-credit warnings.
Feature
Onboarding improvements + help page updates
- New: enter your website URL during signup even if you don't have one pre-filled
- New: "I don't have a website yet" skip option during setup
- "Continue without buttons" now always works, even with no photos or prior configurator assigned
- Onboarding now works for returning users who haven't set up a website yet
- Getting Started guide updated with current screenshots and flow
- Dashboard guide now includes example screenshots
